VINTAGE LONGINES FLAGSHIP MEN'S WATCH, 14 KARAT GOLD WRISTWATCH
This is a 1950s era 14k yellow Gold Longines Flagship model watch.
This watch is a traditional windup watch and what is very interesting is that this is one of the earliest models that offered the date feature. Technology had not advanced to the stage where a date change function was available or easily done.
The face is white, the hands and hour marks are in gold. The case measures 1 3/8" W x 1 5/8" long and is 1/4" thick. The total length is 9" including the case.
This watch is in exceptional condition, comes with two bands, one brand new, dark brown alligator skin one made by Speidel, the second one original to the watch- gold plated, mesh style, in great condition.
The watch has also its original wooden box, no repair was performed on it, but it is a very easy fix.
Interesting backstory, this watch was purchased in the early 1950's in Hong Kong by mechanical marine stationed there. Gently used as a dress watch, one owner only.
